Urgent Support Needed: Prevent Loss of Medi-Cal Substance Abuse Treatment at Cornerstone

I am reaching out today with an urgent appeal to help us ensure that client care at Cornerstone remains uninterrupted. We face a critical funding gap, and without your immediate support, the vital substance abuse treatment services we provide to the people of Tehachapi are at risk of being severely impacted. Our urgent goal is to raise enough funds to cover this gap, sustain the care our community desperately needs, and establish new minimum standards for substance use disorder treatment in Kern County.
KernBHRS's administrative errors and lack of support have created significant hurdles. They have chosen not to renew our Continuity of Care contract and may have withdrawn approval for previously approved clients, leading to a substantial financial shortfall. Effective July 1, our current Medi-Cal clients' services will cease to be covered, violating their continuity of care rights and further jeopardizing their recovery.
