Since opening the doors our hope has been that Cornerstone would be a gift from our community to our community.

The Gap

Working with health insurance for mental health is tricky business. Private insurance pays fairly, but not for the full length of treatment. On the other hand Medi-Cal pays very little, but will pay for the full length of treatment. The financial gap created only provides one-third to half of what is needed to provide quality and effective care.

Why the Large Gap?

Rural mental health clinics have high operating costs because 90% of the staff are trained clinical or certified specialists whose training and experience require wages and benefits to attract and retain qualified professionals. Closing the Gap Partnering with Cornerstone by sponsoring our programs ensures that everyone who walks through the doors can get help no matter their insurance or their ability to pay.
